There are trails and there are those trails that everyone talks about, and the seven waterfalls trail in Istria is definitely one of those trails. Adjectives such as “the most beautiful”, “the most attractive” and “the most famous” hiking trail in Istria are associated with it. This is why it attracts an extremely large number of hikers, nature lovers and families. The seven waterfalls trail is definitely one of the most popular hiking trails in Istria. It was marked in the period from 2006 and 2007, and on its way passes by the wonderful natural beauties of the Mirna River and its tributary, the Draga River. It’s called what it’s called for a reason – along the way you’ll enjoy the view of seven waterfalls, the playful river bed, and you’ll also explore abandoned Istrian villages, as well as the popular Kotli picnic spot. I must not forget to mention the Napoleon bridge, but also the abandoned mining shafts. All this and much more is included in the trail of seven waterfalls.

Mosor is a craggy Dalmatian mountain towering majestically between Split and Omiš. The highest peak of this famous mountain is Veliki Kabal, which is located at 1,339 meters above sea level, and Mosor is 25 kilometers long in total. The main ridge is divided into three parts – the western, central and eastern part of Mosor. Top of St. Jure is located in the eastern part at 1,310 meters above sea level and is considered by many to be the most beautiful peak of Mosor.

There are two paths to St. Jure from the village of Dubrava. In question is the path called Tepla Pola and the so-called Mir’s Put, that is, the path over the Studenac spring. If you’re up for a challenge, you’ll choose Miro’s path for the ascent, where you’ll overcome an altitude difference of almost 800 meters. To return, choose the Tepla Pola trail, which is a much simpler route.
