The cycling race called Zadar Granfondo Falkensteiner Borik, a thrilling cycling event is scheduled for October 21. Designed to cater to participants of all ages and fitness levels, from professional riders to recreational enthusiasts, competitors have the choice of embarking on either the 56 km sprint or the challenging 112 km Granfondo race.
Now in its fourth edition, this cycling extravaganza promises to lead riders through some of the most scenic yet demanding routes. The event is set to draw more than 300 participants from as many as 20 countries, who will commence and conclude their ride right in front of the Falkensteiner Club Funimation Borik hotel.
“Our race continues to grow each year, evolving into a captivating sports and tourism spectacle that will reach over twenty countries around the world this year. Among the avid cycling enthusiasts, you’ll find renowned figures like Alexander Steffens, the 2018 Granfondo world champion, Croatia’s greatest cyclist of all time, Mia Radotić, and last year’s victor, Nicolas Gojković, who’s now competing for BK Zadar this season,” remarked Toni Dujmenović, the race director.
For those keen on intensive training in preparation for the race, a cycling camp has been organized from October 18 at Falkensteiner Premium Camping Zadar. Offering amenities such as bicycle storage, exclusive discounts on wellness services at the Aqua Pura Spa center, daily training, and guided cycling excursions, it’s a comprehensive prelude to the upcoming cycling challenges.
The Falkensteiner Club Funimation Borik hotel ensures race participants a comfortable stay, superb cuisine, relaxation, and various recreational options. Additionally, families accompanying participants can enjoy a dedicated children’s program during the event.

Nestled in a beautiful pine forest alongside the sea, the Falkensteiner Club Funimation Borik offers a 2,500 m² wellness center with saunas, indoor and outdoor pools. There are various water sports, tennis, and beach volleyball courts for active vacationers.
During the race, selected roads along the route will be temporarily closed to traffic, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of participants. These road closures will affect streets such as Put Matije Gupca, Put Dikla, Krešimirova obala, and the intersection at Žmirići during specific time intervals.
