Story of Nikola Tesla, one of the greatest men who ever walked this Earth shocks and interests a lot of people to this day. And it will continue so.
Some places are not destinations, but places of common interest not to be missed.
Then suddenly, as you’re driving through this middle-of-nowhere area, the sign occurs saying:
MEMORIAL CENTER OF NIKOLA TESLA.
Wow.
The man who changed everything?
Wow.
Smiljan? His birthplace?
Even more wows.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
The innovations of Nikola Tesla are ground zero to the world as we know it.
His name is attributed to more than 700 inventions and 278 patents.
He gave us AC current, the knowledge to harness and distribute light, X-rays, remote control, radio, electric motor, laser… even wireless communication.
Tesla’s work was constantly blurred with controversy and reportedly persecuted by corporate-government interests.
For example, on the day he died, January 7th, 1943, the U.S. government moved into his lab and apartment confiscating all of his scientific research.
Some of it was released later by FBI, but it’s yet unknown what kind of work still stays hidden for the public.
His ideas were huge. The industry just couldn’t let him go all the way.
Legendary was the fight with the arguments of Thomas Edison that Alternating Current is not safe for people. Tesla responded by famously shooting current through his own body to produce light.
Tesla developed and used fluorescent bulbs (neon) in his lab some 40 years before the industry “invented” them. He also invented the radio, years before initially credited Guglielmo Marconi.
And what about the possibilities of the famous Tesla Coil – the concept that the Earth itself is a magnet that can generate electricity?
Or the idea that the universe is filled with energy that could allow people to harness the free energy around them?
How about that, huh?
Free energy? From the universe?
