Baby Lasagna Won 2nd Place on Eurovision!

We can proudly say that our Baby Lasagna won 2nd place at the Eurovision Song Contest! Croatia and Croats are proud. This is the best placement at the Eurovision Song Contest that we have achieved since independence.

Baby Lasagna Won 2nd Place on Eurovision

After the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 grand finale, we got a new winner and found out who succeeded Loreen. They are Swiss representatives Nemo, representing their country with the song The Code. Switzerland won by winning 591 points, and right behind it was the Croatian representative Baby Lasagna, who won 547 points and thus achieved the best result in the history of Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest. This also means that our representative lacked 44 points for the final victory. The top 3 is closed by Ukraine, which presented itself with 453 points.

Switzerland won the most points from the jury, while Croatia won the most points from the audience.

Baby Lasagna Won 2nd Place: Reigning Supreme at Eurovision

The atmosphere inside the arena reached a fever pitch as Baby Lasagna took to the Eurovision stage for Croatia. It was a moment of sheer electricity as if the entire audience held its breath in anticipation of what was to come. And when the music started, it was like a wave of energy swept through the venue. As the song’s first notes filled the air, the audience erupted into cheers and applause. But it wasn’t just the music that captivated them; it was the performer himself. Baby Lasagna was a force to be reckoned with, commanding the stage with every move he made.

The crowd didn’t just watch the performance; they became a part of it. They sang along with every word, their voices blending in a chorus of support. And Baby Lasagna, in turn, fed off their energy, pouring his heart and soul into every note.

But it wasn’t just his voice that mesmerized the audience; it was his presence. He was fully immersed in the performance, every movement deliberate and calculated. His attire added to the spectacle, a mix of modern and traditional Croatian clothing that was both striking and symbolic. As the performance reached its climax, white smoke filled the stage, adding an air of mystique to the scene. And in that moment, it was as if the entire arena was transported to another world, one where Baby Lasagna reigned supreme.

In the end, everyone present agreed: Baby Lasagna didn’t just perform at Eurovision, he owned the stage. And for those few minutes, it wasn’t just a song contest; it was his concert, and everyone was invited to join in the celebration.

Baby Lasagna Won "Marcel Bezençon" Award Too

They gave out the traditional “Marcel Bezençon” award before the Eurovision Song Contest finals. This award is for the best songs and performances. It’s been given since 2002, and it’s split into three categories: journalist’s award, artistic award, and composer’s award. Many people see it as a sign of how good the songs are at Eurovision. Croatia won this year!

Here are the winners:

  • Journalist Award (picked by journalists and reporters): Croatia – Baby Lasagna – “Rome Tim Tagi Dim”
  • Artistic award (chosen by TV commentators): Switzerland – Nemo – “The Code”
  • Composer Award (selected by song composers): Switzerland – Nemo – “The Code”

Zagreb has officially confirmed the preparations for this spectacular welcome event, and we can’t wait to see everyone there!

“Dear people, thank you from the bottom of my heart, thank you to heaven. You have filled me with great happiness and pride. I’ve heard that almost all of Croatia watched our performance at the Eurovision Song Contest, and I’ve also heard that there will be a welcome at the Square in Zagreb on Sunday afternoon, even though we did not win. Yes, I’ve heard all that, and I’m glad about it, although I don’t know any details or the musical program of the reception. But I’m also looking forward to it. I’ll try to get some sleep before then,” said Baby Lasagna last night after finale.
