Travelers increasingly seek destinations that align with their values, places where nature is preserved, and local communities thrive. Plitvice Lakes National Park embodies these ideals, offering travelers an eco-friendly haven

The Green Destinations certification process is a rigorous evaluation of 84 criteria across four dimensions of sustainability: social, environmental, economic, and cultural. In Croatia, alongside Plitvice Lakes National Park, Međimurje County and the city of Mali Lošinj have successfully undergone this process. These destinations not only demonstrated their responsible practices but also received invaluable tools for continuous improvement over the next two years.
