Novigrad is all set to host the 58th World Championship in fishing from anchored boats for seniors. Organized by F.I.P.S.-M (the international federation for sport fishing at sea) and the Croatian Federation for sport fishing at sea, this event will take place from September 30 to October 7.
Twelve national teams, including Croatia, Ireland, Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Great Britain, Luxembourg, Montenegro, San Marino, and Slovenia, will compete in this prestigious championship.
The action kicks off on Sunday, October 1, with registrations, boat drawings, and an exciting opening ceremony. On Monday, October 2, there will be official training, while the main competition days are scheduled from Tuesday to Thursday mornings. Catch weighing will take place in the afternoons at the end of each competition day.
But the excitement doesn’t stop there!
Friday, October 6, serves as a reserve day for the competition. It’s also the day for the grand closing ceremony and a chance to mingle with competitors while exploring the scenic sights of Istria and the enchanting city of Novigrad – Cittanova.
