The Irresistible Charm of Crikvenica’s Masquerade Ball

Crikvenica’s Masquerade Ball kicks off the festivities on January 13 with a traditional masquerade party in Matkovići. In the afternoon, various masquerade groups from Crikvenica and its surroundings will come together for a joyous gathering filled with music, dancing, and fun. As the day goes on, there will be a special moment where the masqueraders receive the keys to the city, showing that they are in charge of Crikvenica for a little while. This change is celebrated by raising a masquerade flag, getting ready for a night of joy and fun.

Then, on January 27, the main entertainment hub shifts to a lively masquerade tent on Trg Stjepan Radić in Crikvenica, starting from 9 p.m. The tent will feature awesome performances by the bands “Grooversi” and “Fortunal.”

The highlight of the “Masquerade” celebration, like every year, is the Children’s and Grand processions on Sunday, January 28. The Children’s parade kicks off at 11 a.m., followed by the Grand parade at 2 p.m. After the parades, the party continues in a masked tent with fantastic performances by musical ensembles “Koktelsi” and “Point.”
